Introduction to FRC - Eco Wood

From FRC

Can you see the difference? this piece of timber is made of RICE HUSK and plastic, and NO Wood. It is a new type of ecowood that is a hardwood replacement.

FRC is high performance fibre composite derived from a revolutionary green technology. The core FRC technology developed and refined through the years promises to ease pressures on our forests and trees by delivering an optimum and viable wood alternative acceptable for mass applications and integration into industry.

A Recycled Product

FRC is made using a patented propriety technology that mixes individual rice hulls with 100% recycled high density polyethylene plastic (pop bottles/detergent containers, etc).

It is a new type of eco friendly material that makes used of recycled material.

This combination gives FRC many of the best characteristics of both wood and plastic.

Best of both worlds

Plastic and rice husk fibres are mixed to produce a compound that is extruded into various timber profiles.

Mixing these types of compounds has been done before, but previous efforts have not achieved the waterproof of characteristics of plastic combined with the structural characteristics of wood.

Better than wood!

FRC has succeed because of a propriety high intensity mixing process that simultaneously shreds and disperse the individual wood fibres, which are then encapsulated with the plastic resin.

This process creates a plastic sheath protecting the compound from bacteria, fungus, termites and moisture.
